About JobsNearestMe

JobsNearestMe is a location-first job search. Instead of starting with a keyword and sifting through national results, we organize openings around the 41,069 cities, towns, and communities across 51 states and the District of Columbia — so you can see who is hiring where you actually live.

Where our data comes from

Our place directory is built from public U.S. Census Bureau data: the Census Gazetteer files for names and coordinates, and the Census population estimates for population figures. Both are public-domain datasets.

Job listings

Listings are supplied through a pluggable job provider. The default deployment can run on a sample dataset for development. Production deployments connect a live source, and JobsNearestMe links every listing straight to the employer's own application page — we never ask you to apply through us.

Accuracy

Job posting details such as pay, location, and requirements are set by the employer and can change at any time. Always confirm the details on the employer's official posting before applying. If you spot something out of date, let us know.
